Canva cuts or relocates over 1,200 jobs in major restructure

The design platform founded in Australia is implementing a sweeping reorganization that entails either eliminating or moving over 1,200 positions, affecting 22% of its worldwide employees.
Chief executive Melanie Perkins communicated to employees that these job reductions constitute, "without doubt the hardest moment in our thirteen-year history."
This corporate shift reflects a broader pattern observable throughout the technology industry; software enterprises are currently engaged in a struggle to maintain their competitive edge against less expensive artificial intelligence disruptors, all while simultaneously striving to integrate AI functionalities within their own offerings.
